A BRIEF HISTORY OF JYOTI SAMAJIK SEWA SANSTHA

Jyoti Samajik Sewa Sanstha (JSSS) is a national level voluntary Organization in the area of health, education, socio-economic development, and protection of socially disadvantaged populations. It was initiated by a group of dedicated social workers and professionals in Delhi.

The organization was formally registered in 2002, Registration No. 41711/2002 under the Societies Registration Act 1860 as a national level voluntary organization.

During the financial year 2018-2019, Jyoti Samajik Sewa Sanstha (JSSS) has significantly reorganized and expanded its portfolio of programmes and activities. During this period the organization initiated and successfully implemented various programmes and interventions aimed at overall development of socially disadvantaged population as well as improving the status of their health and hygiene. These programmes were mainly decentralized and tightly monitored and it focused on following key issues:

“JYOTI SAMAJIK SEWA SANSTHA (JSSS) acutely feels that health and education are the most neglected areas in our country today and if not taken care of immediately, the situation could worsen. Health and education standards have deteriorated among the rural poor and the under privileged sections of the society”
